The Somatic Holding Method is a healing modality I’ve developed that combines the principles of somatic therapy with intentional, consensual physical contact. It’s designed to support the nervous system in unwinding tension, reconnect with safety in the body, and offer a felt sense of being seen, held, and supported—without the need for words.

In today’s fast-paced, often touch-starved world, many of us are navigating life from a place of disconnection—stuck in survival responses like freeze, shutdown, or chronic tension. This method offers a space to gently return to the body, to presence, and to the nourishment of safe, grounded contact.

What Happens in a Session

Each session begins with a check-in to attune to your current emotional and somatic state. From there, we co-create a space of consent and clarity around the type of support your body is asking for.

Using light touch, stillness, breath awareness, and intuitive placement (such as back support, hand-holding, or safe cradling of the head or heart area), I offer my grounded presence while allowing your system to guide the pace.

This isn’t about fixing or doing—it’s about being. Being with what arises. Being held, literally and energetically, in a way that allows old patterns to soften and new regulation to emerge.

The Somatic Holding Method is rooted in trauma-informed principles. I honor that every body has its own history and pace, and I meet you with presence—not agenda.

Nothing in a session is ever assumed. Every point of contact is guided by your comfort, communicated clearly, and offered with your full, ongoing consent. You’re always in choice, and we move slowly, together—checking in with your body’s signals and allowing space for whatever needs to emerge.
